Course Description

Lecture, two hours; discussion, two hours. Requisites: courses 10, 100A, 127. Designed for junior/senior Psychology majors. Conceptual and empirical foundations of psychological counseling; comparison of alternative models of counseling processes. Emphasis on counseling approaches in community mental health areas such as drug abuse, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention. P/NP or letter grading.
