Course Description
Lecture, four hours. Requisite: course 15 or 115. Designed for juniors/seniors. Explanation of how neural molecules provide unique window into mind. Topics include neurotransmitters, receptors, ion channels, and signal transduction molecules. Roles these molecules play in information processing, consciousness, learning, memory, neural plasticity, degeneration, and psychiatric disorders. P/NP or letter grading.
